A Heart that Forgives….

Posted on Updated on

One of the things that the Team at ChristLove Campaign keeps at the forefront of it mind is that Jesus Christ has given the invitation to ALL persons to come to Him and freely accept the gift of salvation. Revelations 3:20 says “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” [Read in context]

Perhaps it is human nature and easier to approach those persons who offer a welcome, those with a smile on their faces, those who appear as someone who would easily accept our message of Hope, or at least give an listening ear.

But it is as if we think that that those less welcoming or anti-social persons are not as deserving of a chance to know that God loves them too: so we would tend to avoid drunkards, wife beaters, homosexuals, prostitutes, witches, drug dealers, ex-cons, known child molesters, rapists, and rich people.

Perhaps you jump at the inclusion of “rich people” in our lists. It’s true! Some persons find it really hard to witness to rich people – unless a question is asked by the rich person – because they tend to think that rich people will not think they have any problems that requires a Jesus to fix.

Listen, no one is above the need for a Saviour. The scripture is very clear, though not very accepted by all. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. [Read in context]

No one, we can then say, is too unworthy of the Father’s forgiveness.

And even when we find it easy to believe this for the “unattached” other… it is when the pain hits close to home that we struggle immensely to let go of hurt in order to forgive that person.  Jesus knows, it is a pain that cuts really deep. He knows what you are feeling because the sin of mankind cut Him deep, including… YOUR sin.

So truly you have no Jesus-accepted reason to hold onto hatred of another person.

May this song minister to you and help if need be, in finding strength to let go today. Let your heart experience the taste of freedom.

Faithfully Yours,

the Team at ChristLove Campaign
